The opportunity

We are growing!! We are now on track to further grow and strengthen our Buildings Team as we accelerate our push into the Australian Buildings market. We are seeking a passionate and outgoing Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to part of a vibrant growing team and allows an opportunity for you to expand on your client facing and technical skills and to play a key role at the centre of one of our business's most exciting growth areas.

Each day will provide you with new challenges and look a little different, however this senior role will see you:

• Applying a deep understanding of technical principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems

• Delivering operational excellence through effective management of complex technical solutions and multiple jobs, assigning work, directing project outcomes and verifying work of other technical staff

• Working on multi discipline building services projects from inception, through strategic planning and concept to detailed design, planning and resourcing effectively to meet budgets and targets

• Building strong client relationships based around understanding of clients’ needs and provision of appropriate technical solutions leading to continuing work and repeat business

• Demonstrating effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills with clients.

• Have significant market experience, client depth and demonstrable success within the areas of Health / Education / Commercial / Defence and Transport.

About you

You are a well networked Chartered Electrical Engineer and Registered Building Practitioner, with a strong track record of delivering Building Services projects and with significant proven client depth.

A strategic thinker. Being a values-driven individual, you will enjoy sharing the successes of your colleagues and seek to be part of the growth of this exciting group.

A sound knowledge of Australian Building Code and Standards is essential and an inherent strong technical capability in Electrical Building Services design.

You have an affinity with client leadership and a passion for driving Beca's Buildings success. You are an experienced client leader who excels in building relationships and turning opportunities into outcomes.

You have the natural ability to work with and influence a wide group of people across all levels of organisations and be someone who embraces challenges, promotes innovation and leads with a mindset of continual improvement.

Recognised credentials in Rail and Defence would be an advantage.
