The North West Regional Hospital is seeking a motivated ANUM to join their team in the ICU

The North West Regional Hospital are seeking a seasoned Associate Nurse Unit Managers to join their supportive, multidisciplinary team

The role:

We are seeking Associate Nurse Unit Managers to join our team at the North West Regional Hospital. We are looking for passionate nurses who deliverthe greatest quality of care and will collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. It isexpected that within the dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to a strong professional team approach through open communication and a positive supportive environment.

In partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM):

  • Ensures the efficient and effective provision of care based on the bestpractice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework
  • Assists with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day to day patient care activities, including patient flow of all three areas of the Medical Unit
  • Is an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that champions person-centred care, respect, teamwork, and empathy

The Unit:

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the North West Regional Hospital is an 8-bed unit that covers adult and paediatric ICU and HDU patients. As a clinical resource we seek an ongoing commitment to both personal professional growth and team growth.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, shift-worker position working 40hours per fortnight, commencing from July 2024

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary:$103,466 - $109,165 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)

  • Holds or is working towards relevant post graduate qualifications

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  • sex related offences
  • serious drug offences
  • crimes involving dishonesty
  • Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
