What you’ll do: 

• Assist in executing external audits of financial statements according to regulatory and professional standards under supervision

• Perform detailed audit tasks including substantive testing to support identification of financial statement risks and ensure accuracy and compliance

• Support the assessment of internal controls and risk management procedures to help form audit conclusions

• Prepare clear and accurate audit workpapers and documentation for review by senior team members

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within audit engagements to enhance efficiency and quality

• Collaborate with clients and internal team members to resolve straightforward accounting and audit matters

What we’re looking for: 

• You will have up to 2 years’ experience in external audit or related accounting roles, preferably with some exposure or interest in CIPS or similar industry sectors.

• You should be capable of reviewing financial information, recognising potential risks, and applying basic professional judgement in audit procedures.

• We are looking for someone who is eager to collaborate with and learn from more experienced colleagues in a supportive team environment.

• You need to be able to clearly document audit findings and communicate effectively within the team and with clients.

• A basic understanding of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements is important, along with a strong commitment to ongoing learning.
