Automation Engineer

The Company

This organisation has a reputation for their high-quality products across the Australian market and have experienced significant growth the past 5 years. With this continued focus on innovation and new products there is a need for an Automation and Reliability Engineer to help deliver optimisations across their key manufacturing facility in Laverton, VIC.  

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver and driving process developments and improvements and taking the lead for control system and reliability related activities across the site.
• Scoping and planning for the automation component of capital works and implementing process control, hardware and software improvements.
• Providing technical support and fault-finding expertise across the site. 
• Work with trades during the installation and commissioning process, as well as optimisations. 
• Manage the control system design, procurement, implementation and integration on capital projects and driving upgrades across the system. 

Your Background

• Degree qualified ideally in Mechatronics, Electrical or Automation Engineering
• Proven experience working with high-speed automation equipment, ideally within food, beverage or dairy industries. 
• Demonstrated experience with PLC systems such as Siemens and / or Allen-Bradley Rockwell automation systems
• High-level problem-solving skills
• Have strong communication skills
• Strong organisation skills
