About the role:

We're after an experienced AV Team Lead to join our Expo division, reporting directly to the Head of Expo Operations, AV & Systems. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll own our AV delivery for events and exhibitions: quoting, project managing, and delivering, while building relationships that grow our AV hire revenue over time.
You'll lead a small team (AV Technician + a pool of casuals for peak periods), collaborate with our Business Development Manager, Operations Manager, and Project Managers, and be the go-to person for everything audio visual and LED on our temporary activations.

What you'll do:

• Quote, project manage, and deliver AV & LED solutions for exhibitions and events


• Lead, train, and develop your team, including building a reliable pool of casual installers


• Collaborate with Project Managers to align AV delivery with broader event timelines


• Work with the BDM and Expo team to nurture client relationships and grow AV hire revenue


• Identify opportunities to develop our hire inventory as an ongoing income stream


• Manage equipment prep, test and tag, maintenance, and inventory in the warehouse


• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to deliver on time and on budget


• Travel interstate for installations and activations


• Work on-site at events including weekends and flexible hours as required


• Drive continuous improvement in planning, delivery, and team capability

What you'll bring:

• Experience with AV and LED equipment (screens, projectors, audio, control systems, LED panels)


• Event or exhibition AV experience (quoting, delivering, installing)


• Proven leadership or management skills with a hands-on approach


• Strong relationship-building skills and commercial awareness


• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail


• Knowledge of WHS requirements and test & tag compliance


• Ability to work on-site, travel interstate, and work weekends/flexible hours around event schedules


• Physical capability: lifting, working at heights, warehouse environment


• Valid driver's licence 
  

Nice to have:

• Experience with Novastar, BrightSign, or similar control systems


• Existing relationships with exhibition or event companies


• Relevant AV certifications


• Experience managing AV inventory systems
