An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Backup Administrator to join a specialist IT services organisation delivering enterprise-grade data protection and cyber-resilience solutions. Your new role
As a Backup Administrator, you will operate in a Level 2 technical support capacity, acting as an escalation point for the Service Desk and working closely with internal teams, customers, and vendors. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong communication skills alongside a solid technical background.Reporting into the Service Desk Manager, you will support and maintain a range of backup and disaster recovery platforms, ensuring the availability, integrity, and security of client data.
What you'll need to succeed
This role would suit an experienced Level 2 Support professional with a strong background in IT services and data protection technologies. You will be comfortable in a remote position, working directly with customers and able to translate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key skills and experience include:

• Experience supporting backup and disaster recovery technologies (Rubrik, Druva, Zerto, Commvault, NetBackup)
• Exposure to ITIL processes and service management environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience in a technical support or service desk environment
• Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell desirable)
• Strong documentation skills
