Bar Manager - Continuous Learning Opportunities

As one of Australia’s largest and most successful independent hospitality groups, The Katarzyna Group own and manage an impressive array of venues, restaurants and accommodation including Cloudland, Empire Hotel, Press Club, Valley Hops, The Warehouse, Bunk Backpackers, Bunk Surfers, The Island Hotel. Our venues boast their own unique individuality, yet all deliver and resemble who we are as a group.

We are re-launching our restaurant and cocktail bar, The Garden at Cloudland and Crystal Palais, and we’re looking for a fantastic and energetic Bar Manager to join our team. This is an incredible opportunity for someone to join one of Brisbane’s biggest new openings this year!

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be accountable for driving and delivering excellence in customer service at all times, whilst developing our beverage program throughout both venues to a world class level.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work alongside and manage 2 bar teams
• Assist the restaurant manager In the day-to-day management of the both venues
• Supervise and train both current and new staff, helping develop their knowledge and giving incredible customer service
• Contribute to the overall venues quality of service
• Work alongside our Group Beverage Director in developing and launching seasonal cocktail menus
• Continuously develop our drinks program throughout both venues to a world class level
• Assist management in opening and closing of restaurant 
• Recruit and on-board all new staff
• Manage rostering for all bar staff
• Available for a roster consisting of a mix of days, evenings and mid shifts across all days of the week.

The ideal candidate will possess at least 1-2 years experience in a similar role and:

• Strong spirit and cocktail knowledge 
• Customer first focus 
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Previous bar management experience, in a restaurant setting is a plus
• Experience in cocktail menu development 
• Exemplary personal  presentation and hygiene
• Exceptional time management skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse team
