ABOUT THE ROLE


 


The Barkly Football & Collingwood FC NGA Lead is responsible for the administration of the Barkly Football League (Seniors & Juniors), game development outcomes in the region and the local coordination of required activations for the Collingwood Football Club Next Generation Academy (NGA).


 


 


A DAY IN THE LIFE OF


 


Barkly Football League


 



  • Preparation and Management of the BAFL Match Day operations.

  • Develop and execute participation plan for Barkly Region

  • Manage the development of Junior/Youth pathways for the region.

  • Ensure the competition is administered in line with the National Policies Handbook and BAFL By-Laws.

  • Management of the relationships between the AFLNT, League and Club presidents and other key stakeholders.

  • Drive recruitment and retention of Umpiring in the region.

  • Coordinate the match staff duties and rostering.

  • Support all Competitions Leads to ensure consistency in operations and management of competitions in the NT.

  • Assist in preparing any relevant information that will assist the media department with media releases that relate to region and competition.


 


Collingwood Football Club – Next Gen Academy



  • Assist with the operations of the Barkly NGA region in conjunction with Collingwood NGA Manager

  • Delivery of partnership outcomes for the Collingwood Barkly NGA region

  • Support club and player appearances in the Barkly region.

  • Identify talent in the region, ensuring they have access to academy program/s


 


Game Development


 



  • Build strong relationships and promote participation with all schools in the region, in partnership with Barkly Remote team member. 

  • Compiling of data and information for participation reporting.

  • Work closely with Game Development and Remote teams to ensure a sustainable future for all competitions, clubs, and communities in the Barkly region.

  • Support and contribute to the success of the broader team.

  • Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised.

  • Well-developed, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Satisfactory Working with Children Check

  • NT Drivers Licence
