Job Description - Behaviour Support Administration

We are looking for a Behaviour Support Admin to join our wonderful team.

Position Overview:

  • The Behaviour Support Practitioner Admin Officer provides crucial administrative support to Behaviour Support Practitioners and the wider team. This role involves handling sensitive information, coordinating appointments, managing documentation, and ensuring smooth operational workflows. The ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented, and has strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to Behaviour Support Practitioners.
    • Prepare and manage documentation, including reports, assessments, and support plans.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and databases.
  • Coordination:
    • Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and follow-ups for practitioners and clients.
    • Liaise with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
    • Organise and manage practitioner schedules to optimise service delivery.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of required reports and documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations regarding documentation and data management.
    • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Client Support:
    • Act as a point of contact for clients and families, providing information and support as needed.
    • Respond to inquiries and provide assistance professionally and compassionately.
    • Ensure clients and families receive timely and accurate information regarding their support and services.
    • Office Management:
    • Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring the workplace is well-stocked and organized.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of office procedures to enhance efficiency.
    • Support the team with general office duties, including filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Qualifications and Skills:
    • Education: Undergraduate in behavioural science or social work
    • Experience: Previous administrative experience in a healthcare or support service environment is advantageous.
    • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and professionals.
    • Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
    • Technology: Proficiency in using office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management systems.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Empathy, patience, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
    • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Required Certifications:
    • NDIS Worker Screening Check:
      • All staff involved in NDIS services must undergo a Worker Screening Check. This includes a background check to ensure the individual is suitable to work in the disability sector.
    • NDIS Worker Orientation Module:
      • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module is mandatory. This online training covers the rights of people with disabilities, NDIS principles, and workers' responsibilities under the NDIS Code of Conduct.
    • First Aid and CPR Certification
    • Plus, all other relevant documents
  • Working Conditions:
    • Fulltime salary or Part-time (15 to 20 hours per week) position Hybrid (From home and in an office environment).
    • Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings or training sessions.
    • Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate the needs of clients and practitioners.
