Job Description - Behaviour Support Practitioner

We are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners - current Core, Proficient, Advanced or Specialist suitability with the Commission is required, or applicants who already have suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the Commission and are looking for their first role working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.  Induction training, supervision and ongoing support provided.

Job Description

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will develop and implement positive behaviour support plans for adults and children with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting functional behaviour assessments
  • Creating evidence-based, personalised support plans
  • Working with a varied caseload with comprehensive support

Ongoing support, supervision and training ensure your continuous professional development.

Qualifications

We seek an individual who is:

  • Focused on person-centered, ethical interventions

Requirements:

  • Suitability (i.e. registration) as an Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Commission is essential
  • Degree in allied health or related area is essential
  • Passion for and considerable experience in supporting people with behaviours of concern
  • Current driver's license and own reliable vehicle
