Position Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Core/Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will work within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) framework, providing tailored support to clients with complex needs. There are also opportunities to work with clients with mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments of client needs and develop individualised behavior support plans.
- Implement evidence-based strategies to address challenging behaviours and promote positive outcomes for clients.
- Provide training and support to clients, their families, and support workers to ensure effective implementation of behaviour support plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, therapists, and support coordinators, to deliver holistic support services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with NDIS requirements and organisational policies.
Requirements: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Certification as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disability, particularly within the NDIS framework.
- Strong understanding of behaviour support principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Current driver's license and access to own vehicle (preferred).
