About the Opportunity
Asplundh Tree Experts Australia (Asplundh) is seeking a BI Developer to join The Digital Innovation Team, reporting through to the Business Intelligence Manager.
The Digital Innovation Team is a new branch at Asplundh who have grown significantly over the last 3 years. They are responsible for the development and maintenance of critical business solutions, primarily the Asplundh Vegetation & Asset Management Solution.
The role will allow you to develop and implement centralised business intelligence processes and reports and systems to assist the business in effective decision making, while establishing processes of continuous improvement across the planning, reporting and governance activities of the business.
Tasks
The successful candidate will:
- Work with Business and IT stakeholders to define and document Business Intelligence requirements;
- Develop reports, dashboards and other BI artifacts based on business requirements;
- Document data flows and business processes within the organisation and identify opportunities to create value across the entire data life cycle;
- Manage and develop new and existing ETL functions and reporting schemas to support business requirements;
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve and standardise existing BI artifacts;
- Identify Data Quality issues and working with internal stakeholders to positively uplift our data.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

- Proficient in standards development
- Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing;
- Proven experience in the delivery of large scale, information management, information governance and analytics solutions;
- Experience and understanding of Business Intelligence (BI), Data/Analytics, Reporting, Data Integration and Master Data Management;
- Understanding of technology platforms including ETL’s and BI tools; FME, SQL, PostgreSQL& Power BI is preferred;
- Experience and demonstrated success in a similar BI / Data Role;
- Ability to quickly establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with members of the team and customers;
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills;
- Knowledge of process engineering, math, physics, or other computer-science related disciplines (desirable);
- Knowledge of or experience working with utility and or government clients (desirable);
- Experience leading and managing teams to deliver strategic outcomes (desirable).
