Join Aon Australia's Growth Operations team as a Bid Manager and play a pivotal role in driving our business growth.

Based in Sydney, you'll support the delivery of compelling and high-quality proposals that help secure new business and retain valued clients. This role blends project coordination, content development, and stakeholder engagement, offering you the chance to work closely with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and sales teams.

You'll be part of a collaborative, dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact Aon's success and open doors to exciting career opportunities.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and Coordinate Bids: Manage the end-to-end bid process for mid-sized opportunities, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality submissions.
  • Proposal Development: Craft compelling and competitive proposals that showcase Aon's competitive advantages and meet client requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Bid Management, Senior Bid Managers, and cross-functional teams (sales, servicing, broking, claims, legal) to prepare, review, and submit cohesive bid responses.
  • Pitch and Presentation: Develop and deliver persuasive presentations to clients for use in client pitches, highlighting Aon's value proposition.
  • Content Management: Contribute to and maintain bid content libraries, templates, case studies, and standard responses to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Project Coordination: Manage multiple bids simultaneously, prioritising tasks and collaborating with stakeholders across Australia and global offices.
  • Uphold Brand Standards: Ensure all submissions reflect Aon's brand and quality expectations.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: At least 5 years' experience in bid management or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years managing the end-to-end bid process, including proposal writing and stakeholder management.
  • Project Management: Strong skills in managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and deliver impactful presentations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for producing professional bid materials.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage relationships effectively.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong time management and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Personal Qualities: Resilient, resourceful, influential, team player, and self-motivated.
  • Desirable: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience). Familiarity with tender processes and compliance requirements is advantageous.
