    If you feel you can answer yes to above, Siemens Energy has a great opportunity for you as a Bid/Technical Sales lead within our Australian Grid Technology Service team where you would become part of an extensive service network in Asia Pacific and worldwide.

    How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred
  • Minimal 5-7 years of working experience within the areas of Transmission Service (HVDC, FACTS, GIS, AIS, TX, CBs etc)
  • Has experience & knowledge of Transmission Products, Solutions and Services
  • Works experience in an engineering role or as a site / field service technical expert would be beneficial.
  • Experience and knowledge of High Voltage transmission industry in Australia.
  • Able to communicate well within the local, regional, and global team.
  • Positive attitude to work in challenging environment and in embracing dedication.
  • Understands cultural differences and copes with them effectively.
  • Strong competence in using IT Tools including Microsoft (especially Microsoft Word and Excel), SAP, and Salesforce applications.
  • Must be effectively mobile both locally and regionally as required for tenders/ projects.
  • Conceptual thinker and strategic approach; ability to define tangible and implements concepts
  • Understanding of local energy landscape and industry; of energy technologies and business models
  • What You Bring

  • Targets and requirements, and/or specification, identifies key elements of value and support the establishment of suitable business models
  • Participates in senior level engagement with customers and partners to establish close and trustful relations and design conceptional solutions for them to position Siemens Energy as early as possible.
  • Review Request for Quotations (RFQ)/Tender (RFT) received from customers and develop and prepare technical and commercial offers with identification of key scope that highlights our OEM value.
  • Participates in upfront customer & tender discussions and represents the project in the relevant discussions; both internally & externally
  • Responsible to lead the overall cost integration and analysis with consideration for technical and commercial risk assessment prior to arriving at final pricing.
  • Collating and preparing tender documentation including drawings, technical data sheets, bill of materials, method statements, project plans, QHSE documentation, time schedules etc.
  • Develop and build up standard offerings / templates / processes for projects with focus on FACTS & HVDC projects.
  • Prepare long term service concepts and work together with the regional supply chain manager(s) to engage and align for a compliant offer.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and global siemens factories and other service subcontractors throughout the world to optimize our technical and commercial offerings.
  • Identify cost and time-saving opportunities within the proposal development process or stemming from non-conformance instances as lessons learned and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support to sales during product promotions, site walk-downs and visits, negotiations, and follow-up activities as necessary.
  • Prepares, reviews and books customer orders / revisions to orders including spare parts for large scale projects.
  • Tap new growth areas and develops project strategies and business opportunities aligned with the overall business strategy.
