Bird Keeper / Aviary Attendant - Join a Leading Company

We are an Award-winning Australian family-owned Holiday Park looking for friendly, motivated, and experienced Bird Keeper / Aviary Attendant to join our Ashmore Palms Holiday Village team. 

We specialise in providing holiday accommodation, short- and long-term cabin rentals, group, and corporate accommodation as well as some caravan sites. 

One of our parks main attractions is our large collection of large exotic birds which require ongoing and constant love, attention, and maintenance.  

We are searching for someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and can assist in feeding and caring for our very large birds and cleaning our aviaries.

The ideal person will possess:

• Stable work history.
• A can-do attitude.
• Ability to recognise bird behaviours.
• Excellent personal presentation with a friendly disposition
• Flexible to work various hours/days (including weekends) and a willingness to carry out various task as required.
• Accept that the roster is not set and will vary each week depending on the requirements of the business.  Shift times are between the hours of 7am and 2.00pm Monday-Friday, successful candidate must be available to work most Saturday & Sunday shifts between 7am and 12 noon.
• Preferably be able to provide a blue card as you may be working with young holiday guests (if not we will arrange one for you); and
• Available for an immediate start.

Previous experience in working with very large birds, e.g. birds of prey, macaws etc. will be highly regarded and a strong advantage.
