Boilermaker

Electrorig (a division of McNab) is an established Gold Coast based contractor, that has successfully installed and maintained hundreds of project-based hoists, lifts, and cranes both nationally and internationally. The team at Electrorig is committed to providing the most reliable hoists in the market, whilst working with clients to achieve safe and quality outcomes - each and every time.

Due to continued success and growth throughout Southeast Queensland, we are currently looking for an experienced and self-motivated Boilermaker to join our high performing team.

Duties:

• Ability to MIG and structural weld competently.

• Work with the site team providing knowledge of welding processes.

• Select correct material to prepare – structural components, plates, pipes.

• Operation of tools and equipment on site

• Using the correct welding techniques to ensure a quality finish.

• Assembling metal parts to ensure proper alignment and structural integrity.

• Inspection and quality checks on completed work to confirm adherence to specs and standards.

• Conducting defect and maintenance repairs or modifications on existing or structures

• Working with site and project teams to troubleshoot and contribute to best practice of fabrication processes.

• Adhering to safety procedures, guidelines and wearing correct PPE at all times

• Maintenance of fabrication tools, equipment, and workspaces

What we are looking for:

• Trade qualified Boilermaker 

• Construction White Card

• MIG and structural weld experience required.

• Knowledge of varying types of metals, their properties and suitability of welding techniques

• Strong attention to detail and take pride in completing a job well done.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transport, as travel can be required throughout SEQ.

• Rigging experience advantageous but not critical
