Aspire are a well-established, boutique accounting firm based in beautiful Scarborough, QLD, just moments from the marina. This is a rare opportunity to join a respected local firm while working closely with one of their key, long-standing clients in a hands-on, embedded Bookkeeper role.

The Opportunity

This is not your typical multi-client bookkeeping role.

You will take ownership of the end-to-end bookkeeping function for one of the firm's major clients, becoming a trusted financial support to their leadership team. You'll work closely with both the client and the accounting firm's senior advisors, giving you exposure beyond pure transactional processing.

It's a role with responsibility, visibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end bookkeeping
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Payroll processing and superannuation
• BAS preparation and lodgements
• Cash flow monitoring and reporting
• Liaising directly with key stakeholders
• Supporting the accounting team during month-end and year-end

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has 3+ years' bookkeeping experience (ideally within public practice or servicing multiple entities)
• Is confident managing a full function autonomously
• Has strong experience with Xero (MYOB experience also considered)
• Understands GST, BAS and compliance requirements
• Communicates professionally and builds strong client relationships
• Enjoys working in a close-knit, supportive team
