Bottle Shop Manager Gregory Hills Hotel - Hiring Now

Gregory Hills Hotel is an iconic pub located in Southwest Sydney. Built from scratch and sitting right in the heart of the Gregory Hills community, it features live entertainment, a sports bar, family dining, a children’s play area and much more. Whether you are in the mood to watch the game with friends over a crafty or grab a cocktail and enjoy some live music, the pub has something for people from all walks of life.

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bottle Shop Manager with strong beverage knowledge to run the day-to-day operations of our busy bottle shop.  

The Role:

Reporting to the General Manager, your key areas of responsibility will include:

• Performing general retail bottle shop duties such as serving customers, stocking shelves, receiving deliveries.
• Managing store presentation from floor stacks to fridge lay-outs, always looking for ways in which we can improve store presentation.
• Be involved in all operational aspects of the store including overseeing stock/inventory and stock control.
• Managing, leading, recruiting, and training the bottle shop frontline staff.
• Driving a face-to-face premium service culture and building a team with a thirst for knowledge on market trends.
• Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Assist with rostering and staff performance management, meeting wage and financial targets, ensuring adherence to all policies, procedures, and compliance with WH&S.
• Working with both management and Head Office to drive marketing for the store by creating business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic and enhance profitability.

What you will need to be successful in this role:

• Prior experience in a management or supervisory position within the liquor retail space.
• Solid knowledge of wines, beers, and spirits.
• Highly competent in money handling and operating both front end and back-end POS systems.
• Great communication skills and willing to have a bit of banter with the locals.
• Strong attention to the detail
• The ability to work collaboratively within the team but be able to work autonomously too.
• A valid NSW RSA Competency Card.
