About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate Full Time Breakfast Chef to independently run our Boutique Breakfast Buffet 5 days a week. Reporting to the Executive Chef, this role will also assist the functions and events catering team. The ideal candidate will have the passion and ability to drive the kitchen, create amazing food offerings and provide support to the wider kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day culinary operations, including the creation and delivery of exceptional food, adhering to food safety and hygiene compliance and ensuring consistent and quality standards are achieved. Breakfast buffet and hotel experience are highly regarded. Full working rights required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee correct procedures for day to day running of the Breakfast Buffet
• Lead the kitchen team during service periods and preparation for those periods
• Assist in ordering processes, required to ensure correct stock is always on hand
• Ability to work all stations including fryer, pans, grill, pass, functions, catering
• Be able to work unsupervised in a busy kitchen environment
• Work cohesively with the team to create a memorable experience for all customers
• Communicate effectively with management and staff

About you:

• 2 years experience as a qualified Chef
• Experience with breakfast buffets or hotel kitchens highly preferred
• Leadership skills to support the Executive Chef and kitchen team 
• Strong knowledge of all facets of food production with high level food and culinary skills
• High level presentation and hygiene standards with a thorough knowledge of food safety, WHS legislation and hazard identification 
• Enjoy working to high standards in a fast-paced environment
• Organised and strong time management skills
