Bricklayer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bricklayer to join
our construction team. The Bricklayer will be responsible for constructing and
repairing walls, partitions, arches, and other masonry structures using bricks,
blocks, and related materials. The role requires strong technical skills,
precision, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret building plans in
compliance with Australian building standards and regulations. The successful
candidate must be a team player who can work efficiently to meet project
deadlines while maintaining high -quality workmanship.

Requirements

• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other types of masonry materials to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and other structures.
  
• Interpret and work from technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  
• Set out the job as per drawings and Australian Standards
  
• Set out and Stand doors and window frames. 
  
• Mix and apply mortar, ensuring correct consistency.
  
• Measure and cut materials to the required size using hand and power tools.
  
• Align structures accurately using levels, plumb bobs, and string lines. Stand profile and set lines
  
• Operate brick -cutting machines and other masonry equipment safely.
  
• Apply weatherproofing and protective materials where required.
  
• Construct scaffolding to legal height restrictions
  
• Ensure work complies with Australian building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
  
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, site supervisors, and construction managers.
  
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
