When you're working in the private healthcare sector, you'll get more hands-on experience, in a supported way, of course! Our nurses and midwives are often the key point of communication directly between our patient and doctors.

Given we deal with more predictable patient admissions in the private sector, it also means you'll get more flexibility in when you work. Our leaders work hard to develop rosters that suit our people and the career and life stage they are in.

With full time or part time options available (minimum 30 hours/week), our 12-month program is coupled with an additional Consolidation Year to further support your transition to practice and develop your clinical skills and knowledge.

Brisbane Private Hospital's main focus is our patients and providing them with quality healthcare outcomes. Each year we treat over 20,000 patients with the assistance from our 700 visiting medical officers and our dedicated team of 500 healthcare professionals. Our 181 bed private hospital is conveniently located at the top of the Wickham Terrace, Brisbane's busiest medical precinct, in the heart of the CBD.

Our doctors are among Australia's leaders in research and practice and are committed to providing expert care in fields such as orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, plastics, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, urology, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, rehabilitation, gynaecology and fertility.

Enrolled Nurse

Enrolled Nurses at Healthscope perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of registered nurses. Some of the tasks that you may be responsible for, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse, include caring for a group of patients, patient admission and discharge, medication administration, wound care, pre- and post-operative care and liaising with medical staff and other health professionals. You will have the opportunity to continually develop, improve and promote best evidence-based practice.

Eligibility criteria for our 2025 Graduate Program includes:

· Australian working rights

· Completion of a relevant nursing or midwifery course within the last 6 months OR anticipated completion at least one month prior to commencing with us

· Willingness to commit to a minimum of 30 hours/week, a rotating roster including AM, PM, night, weekend and public holiday shifts
