Note on Ownership: Nine Radio is proud to have recently joined Tapt Media. While this recruitment process is being managed by Nine under a transition of services agreement, the successful candidate will be employed directly by Tapt Media.

Day to day you will:

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, preventative maintenance, and tier-3 support of all national studio and transmission hardware to ensure zero broadcast downtime.

  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for the Pathfinder Core PRO broadcast orchestration platform, designing and maintaining critical system logic, routing, and automation.

  • Manage, configure, and update key broadcast-specific software suites including RCS (Zetta/GSelector), Broadcast Bionics (Bionic Studio/Director), and Cloudcast software solutions.

  • Offer expert knowledge and support for Tapt's essential broadcast hardware, such as the Quasar XR consoles, Infinity Intercom system, and Zephyr Connect Codecs.

  • Engage directly with technology vendors and tier-1 partner suppliers to manage complex bug reporting, prioritize patch deployments, and coordinate system upgrades.

  • Create, review, and maintain thorough technical documentation, system drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to empower support desks and operational staff.

  • Champion rigorous change management frameworks to ensure system modifications are properly planned, tested, and communicated to on-air talent and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • 7+ Years in Broadcast Media Engineering with extensive, verifiable experience engineering and supporting live production environments within major commercial radio, television, or broadcast networks.

  • Advanced AoIP Architecture skills with expert-level mastery of Audio over IP protocols and standards (Livewire+, AES67, Dante, Ravenna) and their respective multicast network routing topologies.

  • Deep hands-on knowledge of Telos Alliance Pathfinder Core orchestration software, routing systems, and virtual routers.

  • Comprehensive administration and engineering experience with RCS, Broadcast Bionics, Cloudcast, and Telos ecosystems.

  • A strong background in corporate change-control workflows and high-level stakeholder communication skills to navigate fast-changing live environments.

  • Desirable: Relevant qualifications in Electronics, Network Engineering, or Broadcast Technology, alongside familiarity with virtualisation, containerised services, project management methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2), and ITIL service frameworks.
