Overview

Due to our extraordinary growth, our client are seeking a skilled and experienced Broking Operations Manager. This challenging role involves coordinating and managing all aspects of broking operations across Australia. You will work closely with the Australian Head of Operations and the broader operations team and business segments to ensure efficient and compliant operations in a growing business environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain broking systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning efficiently
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on broking operations performance
  • Ensure compliance with broking processes, industry regulations, and company policies
  • Manage sanction checking processes to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Identify and implement improvements in broking processes to enhance operational efficiency
  • Develop digital products to streamline operations
  • Assist with the integration of new businesses to align processes, procedures, and templates
  • Ensure seamless transitions and consistency across operations.
  • Coordinate and oversee peer and internal audits to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness
  • Address and resolve any issues identified during audits
  • Conduct regular training sessions on broking operations to ensure team members are knowledgeable and compliant
  • Develop internal and external processes, documentation, and training guides
  • Assist with building out the broader broking operations team
  • Transfer and manage back-office tasks to ensure efficient team operations

Required Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in insurance broking operations;
  • Previous experience as a broker is an advantage 
  • Extensive expertise in broking processes and compliance.
  • Strong ability to coordinate and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in developing internal and external processes, documentation, and training guides.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and sound knowledge of various broking systems.
  • High degree of organization and the capacity to work independently.
