The STA team primarily focus on the intricacies of the residential market, including architectural homes, owner/builders, renovations, project homes, dual occupancy, multi-residential and luxury residential. Our Hydraulics projects also work on low & mid-rise apartments, townhouse developments, fit-outs, child/aged/health care, retail, hospitality, office buildings and warehousing projects.

As we continue to expand our Building Services Hydraulics Team, we are seeking an intermediate level designer/drafter to join us and contribute to a variety of projects.

The Opportunity

As a Hydraulics Designer, you will play a crucial role in drafting, designing, and documenting building hydraulic solutions for Sanitary Drainage, Water Reticulation, Residential On-site Wastewater Treatment, Gutters, Stormwater and Roofwater Drainage. Your keen eye for detail will be instrumental in performing compliance checks and providing insights for new ideas and improvements. Additionally, you will:

• Collaborate with owners, builders, plumbers, developers, and councils on a technical level.
• Engage in problem-solving with colleagues and clients.
• Assist in internal team design compliance checking and proofing.

Your Experience

To thrive in this role, you should possess a minimum of two years’ transferable experience in building hydraulics, engineering services drafting and/or as an experienced Plumber looking to transition out from the field into the office . Other skills and experiences include:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a minimum of 2+ years' experience.
• Intermediate level Excel skills and strong numerical ability.
• Solid knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with REVIT is advantageous.
• Previous plumbing field experience and trade qualifications would be beneficial.
