The Opportunity

Harvey Beef requires a Casual Bus Driver to transport workers from Harvey to Australind for various morning and evening shifts. As part of the Events and Services team, the Bus Driver must have a clean C Class drivers licence and prior experience driving a 12-seater bus is preferred.

Duties

The main duties are to provide safe, reliable, and compliant transportation services to and from work for Harvey Beef employees, including overseas workers. In addition to daily transport, you will make yourself available ad hoc appointments, airport transfers (Perth), repatriation activities, and approved welfare and community engagements.

The successful applicant will be able to show that they understand how to comply with company policies, safety obligations, fatigue management requirements, and other employee guidelines.

You will remain available for stand-by and after-hours transport requirements where operationally required, including early morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and public holiday transport services.

• Conduct pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure company vehicles are maintained in a clean, safe, roadworthy, and presentable condition.
• Promptly report incidents, accidents and maintenance defects
• Develop a strong relationship with your passenger and report unsafe behaviour or passenger misconduct in order to safeguard your passengers.
• Maintain records including vehicle logbooks, fuel and mileage records as well as trip schedules
• Ensure all passengers comply with seatbelt and transport safety requirements at all times.
• Maintain professional, respectful, and culturally appropriate interactions with employees from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Support the wellbeing and welfare of PALM employees by escalating any concerns relating to safety, welfare, accommodation, behaviour, or wellbeing to management.
• Comply with Company zero-tolerance requirements relating to drugs and alcohol and ensure fitness for work at all times.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Class C Drivers Licence (Clean and Unrestricted)
• Demonstrated safe driving history and commitment to road safety practices.
• Strong English communication skills are preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
