Bushfire Aircraft Refueler

About the role

Airspace Fuel Pty Ltd is seeking an Aircraft Refueler to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Gingin, Western Australia, this role will be responsible for refuelling aircraft used in bushfire fighting operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in supporting the safety and efficiency of our aerial firefighting response.

What you'll be doing

• Safely and efficiently refuelling Blackhawk aircraft used in bushfire fighting operations
• Conducting pre-flight and post-flight inspections and checks on refuelling equipment
• Maintaining detailed records of all refuelling activities
• Adhering to all relevant safety protocols and procedures
• Liaising with pilots, ground crews and other stakeholders to ensure seamless aircraft turnaround
• Providing emergency response support as required
• You will be required to wait on site (RAAF Pearce Base) from the hours of 9am and 6pm every day
• This is a WAITING job, most days you wont have work to do, but must still be on base. 
• 60 day contract with share house provided.

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications to transport dangerous goods by road
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Must have excellent English 
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• A valid HC driver's license and the ability to obtain the necessary Airforce security clearances(No Criminal History)
