The firm is seeking an experienced Tax and Accounting Manager to lead the team and deliver exceptional results.
About the Role Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced Business Services Manager to join their team.
This role will involve working closely with the Directors to support business growth, manage a portfolio of clients, and oversee day-to-day operations. You will be involved in both compliance and advisory work, providing well-rounded exposure.
The firm works with a diverse and high-quality client base. Their client base is focused around medium to large businesses as well as high net wealth individuals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of accountants, providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional development.
Oversee tax compliance work, including the preparation, review, and finalisation of tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
Review and approve financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Australian accounting standards.
Provide strategic tax planning advice, helping clients optimise outcomes and achieve their financial goals.
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
Stay informed of updates to tax legislation and accounting regulations, ensuring compliance across the practice.
Develop and implement efficient processes to enhance team performance and practice efficiency.
Liaise with regulatory bodies as required to maintain compliance and uphold professional standards.
Skills & Experience
CPA or CA qualified
5+ years experience within Australian public practice
Demonstrated experience managing both a client portfolio and a team of accountants.
Strong technical expertise in Australian tax legislation and accounting standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a client-focused mindset.
