Job Description - Business Analyst

  • Hybrid Working Model – Currently 2 day in the office

How will I help?

An exciting opportunity is available for a Business Analyst to join our team in the Business Application Management (BAM) team, where you will have the ability to contribute and deliver on Westpac's Vision and Strategic priorities.

You will work closely with your direct team, the wider BAM team, and other key stakeholders in developing and helping to implement key initiatives that enhance the teams’ capabilities, manage their risk profile and ability to meet strategic targets, as well as assisting with records management and the monitoring and maintenance of BAM processes.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in varied and wide ranging tactical or strategic ‘in house’ projects
  • Be accountable for the smooth functioning of ongoing BAM processes and requirements
  • Assist with design and delivery of change both within the team and between stakeholders as required
  • Understand and adhere to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory and corporate policy requirements and standards
  • Knowledge of risk methodology to support the team’s risk and compliance obligations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders by ensuring ongoing communication is delivered to support business service and change

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you need to have the following skills:

  • 5 years operational experience within the banking industry (ideally)
  • Experience with Power Platforms, SharePoint, other common business tools
  • Demonstrated experience building effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collateral effectively
  • You are exceptional at time management and have the ability to prioritise tasks
