About The Role:

XL Express, a reputable family-owned transport company, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our Sales Team as a Business Development & Account Management Specialist. We specialize in providing reliable and seamless transport solutions, and we're dedicated to fostering long-term partnerships with our customers.

You will be responsible for driving the growth of the Brisbane customer portfolio by acquiring new business opportunities and nurturing relationships with existing clients. This role requires a proactive approach to identify and pursue new business leads while maintaining a focus on the satisfaction and retention of our current customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development: Actively seek out and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling.

Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to enhance their experience.

Account Management - Manage a small portfolio of existing customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with our services, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

Negotiation and Contract Management - Negotiate favourable terms and contracts with customers to maximize profitability while maintaining mutually beneficial relationships.

Strategy Development - Collaborate with the management team to develop strategic initiatives for business growth and market expansion.

Reporting and Analysis - Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

Requirements: 

Proven experience in business development and account management, preferably within the transport or logistics industry.

Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.

Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client engagement.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
