About the Role 

Innovative Support Australia is a medium size, profit for purpose organisation, we our dynamic and passionate about our services – and we’re growing!  To keep pace with this growth, we are looking for a Business Development and Intake Engagement Specialist.

This is a newly created and unique role as we have combined both Business Development and Intake and Engagement. This role is responsible for business development and increasing ISA’s presence in the community. Working closely with the Regional Operations Manager and Intake Panel, this role will also manage the intake and onboarding process for our clients.

As the business grows, there may be an opportunity to create a small team where you will lead others in this function.   

 

Your main accountabilities are:

  1. Maintain an understanding of contemporary issues relating to human rights, safeguarding and the abuse and neglect of people with disability.  Demonstrate and adhere to the company values. 
  2. Identify BD opportunities for ISA and represent the business at relevant forums, business fares and conventions. 
  3. Research and identify external market trends to identify opportunities and inform growth forecasting and planning.
  4. Monitor sector tenders, and present to SLT for consideration and action.
  5. Source and oversee the set-up of new properties as required in the growth strategy.
  6. Manage multiple external relationships and onboarding of new client referrals to the business.
  7. Create reports and presentations for internal updates and education of ISA staff. 
  8. Contribute to the Intake Panel, including information preparation and the development of reports and presentations.

Reporting into the Regional Operations Manager, you will be provided with strategic direction, strong mentoring and support. You will have sales targets to meet and autonomy over the intake and engagement process.   

 

About you 

You have previous experience in a BD role within the NDIS or Allied Health sector.  You are a go getter but also empathetic and excellent at relationship building.  This may be a step up for you or you’re wanting to move out of large corporate into a smaller business. Ideally you have:

  • Working knowledge of the NDIS Sector
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder relationship management and customer relationships.
  • Diligence and capacity to continuously multi-task and prioritise workload. 
  • Flexible and adaptable approach 
  • Exceptional grammar, verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples are encouraged to apply 

You will need an NDIS Workers Clearance Check and Working with Children check, or be willing to get one.
