We're looking for a talented Business Development Consultant to join our national BD team and play a key role in driving growth and profile for our Corporate practice group.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you'll lead pitches and bids, shape and drive strategic initiatives, and deliver high-quality marketing and profile-raising campaigns. What you'll do
Winning work - Lead and support pitches and bids. Manage the pitch process or contribute corporate content for firm-wide proposals to support work generation for the corporate practice.
Shape BD strategy - Work with Corporate BD Managers to support corporate practice workstreams through development and delivery of strategic and tactical priorities.
Boost our market profile - Manage thought leadership and marketing campaigns, directory and award submissions and client events alongside our marketing and communications team.
Collaborate across teams - Partner with BD colleagues and lawyers to achieve firm-wide BD objectives and deliver impactful outcomes.
Maintain BD infrastructure - Oversee credentials, pitching materials, and content systems (Foundation, Quoros, BD Hub), ensuring easy access and training for the practice.
Manage league table submissions - Support global M&A and ECM rankings with accurate, timely data.
What you'll bring
3-5+ years' experience in a business development role, with strong skills in pitching and creating high-quality written content.
Proven project management ability, including managing pitches, bids, and delivering successful campaigns.
Experience leading and executing business development strategies and achieving measurable goals.
Knowledge of Corporate practice areas, sectors, and markets is desirable, with the ability to quickly understand the broader business.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
A degree in marketing, commerce, business, or a related discipline.
Proactive, enthusiastic, and results-driven, with a strong work ethic and ownership mindset.
Exceptional attention to detail and a professional, commercial approach.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a national team.
High levels of integrity, initiative, and the ability to build relationships.
