Job Description - Business Development Manager

Are you passionate about creating meaningful partnerships that drive positive social impact?


We’re seeking a clinically experienced Business Development professional to help expand our reach and amplify our mission of supporting individuals and families through essential human services. In this role, you’ll build strategic relationships with community partners, government agencies, and funding sources to unlock new opportunities and ensure our programs continue to thrive. This role will suit a candidate who has a strong clinical background such as Nursing or allied health and will have the capability to operate in a multi-faceted level including clinical and care practice overview, Supported Independent Living (SIL) and High Intensity onboarding (stakeholder engagement) and strong relationship management. About Direct Care Resources:


Direct Care Resources is a well-established care provider in Southeast Queensland, with a focus on supported independent living, community access, and child protection services. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, the organisation is dedicated to participant care, health, safety, and well-being.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Business Development



  • Implement Business Development strategic plan as approved and set by the Board and CEO of DCR

  • Engage with various stakeholders and networks for the business development and growth of DCR

  • Establish and maintain Revenue Generation and Service Growth

  • Responsible for the onboarding for of Supported Independent Living (SIL) in our NDIS and Child Safety services

  • Develop and manage strong referral pipelines and pathways through our hospital networks, community organisations and external stakeholders inclusive of Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, SDA Providers, Discharge Planners, Positive Behaviour Support, Allied Health Services and Clinicians

  • Develop and cultivate long-standing and partnering relationships with internal and external stakeholders



Client and Community Engagement



  • Maintain existing partnerships and professional relationships with our large network of professional services and government agencies

  • Management of client activity programs, wellness and wellbeing portfolios, including deliverables and reporting

  • Ownership of client intake and working with various external stakeholders until client has transitioned into care service operations



Reporting



  • Prepare monthly reports as directed by CEO

  • Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators and business analytics to the senior management

  • Complaints and Compliments management as first point of contact, triage, assessment and reviews



Marketing



  • Brand management, inclusive of ensuring current branding is utilised and effective across all documentation and control

  • Develop marketing and communication strategies and campaigns via social media and outreach management in collaboration with our CEO 

  • Responsible for website, SEO and ROI for digital engagement

  • All promotional items, including business cares, brochures, external documents and merchandise



The successful candidate will possess:



  • Clinically trained (RN, EN, OT, Social Worker, or similar) with experience in healthcare, disability, or NDIS

  • Current AHPRA registration (where applicable)

  • Excellent communicator with a talent for engaging diverse stakeholders and building long-term relationships

  • Excellent communication skills · Confident in liaising with families, guardians and decision makers, understanding their needs, and clearly communicating support options

  • Driven, organised, and passionate about delivering real outcomes for people in the community

  • Comfortable with regular travel to meet stakeholders and engage with the community (travel required)

  • Strong understanding of clinical environments and the NDIS/disability sector (preferred)

  • Full driver licence (essential)

  • Degree qualified
