About the role
Due to ongoing growth and expansion, an opportunity exists to join our Mill Sales (customer exclusive shapes). Based in our Sydney head office, the role purpose is promoting and selling the products and services of Darley Aluminium. This primarily consists of customer exclusive extruded aluminium profiles, value-added services such as machining and post-forming requirements, semi-fabrication, surface finishing, and package requirements.
Responsibilities
- To promote, sell and secure new business from new customers through building effective relationships
- To promote, sell and secure new business from existing customers
- To achieve sales budgets and margin targets for the portfolio
- To drive and assist in the planning and development of sales strategies to exceed financial objectives
- Provide companywide support in customer exclusive extrusions, finishing, value-added services, and product development
- Provide companywide support for development of drawings and or solutions for products provided to our market, customers, and other stakeholders
- To liaise with the all-key stakeholders to ensure operational objectives and business objectives are met and customer requirements are fulfilled
- Manage internal and external supply and communication process with our product suppliers
Essential Experience:
- Industrial or trade sales background
- New business development capability
- Valid Driver’s Licence with the ability to travel
Desirable Experience:
- Aluminium extrusion experience (highly regarded)
- Understanding of the aluminium / metal manufacturing industry
- Surface finishing experience
- Use, understand ERP & CRM systems
- Supply chain understanding (Import / Export)
- Tooling, machining, fabrication experience
- Drawing (AutoCAD) experience
