Diverseco is seeking experienced and successful Business Development Managers to join our Automation sales teams.

About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated and successful Business Development Managers across our Automation unit. As a Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving sales growth in our target industries within New South Wales.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning : Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders, including Product Managers, Engineering Project Teams, and State General Managers.
- Market Exploration : Identify and pursue new business opportunities by conducting market research, lead generation, and networking.
- Product Showcase : Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to highlight the capabilities of Diverseco’s equipment, products, and services.
- Sales and Contracting : Generate sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales budgets and gross profit targets. This may involve concept development.
- Collaboration and Satisfaction : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Client Relationships : Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing exceptional customer service to enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Continuous Improvement : Offer feedback and insights to drive ongoing innovation. Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
About You: - Sales Record : Demonstrated success in capital sales or service roles, selling a variety of technical products and service plans related to automation solutions.
- Industry Relationships : Established connections across diverse industries that may benefit from automation solutions, including intralogistics, robotics, inspection, and industrial weighing.
- Project Scoping : Proficient in understanding customer requirements, providing technical guidance, and delivering tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Communication Skills : Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to engage and influence key stakeholders.
- Technical Acumen : Able to digest and convey complex technical product information effectively to clients. Familiarity with PLC/SCADA, telemetry, industrial communications, network design, and development.
- CRM Dynamics 365 : Ideally experienced with CRM Dynamics 365 for efficient customer relationship management.
- Educational Background : Ideally possesses a technical or engineering background (e.g., electrical trade, Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic engineering). Additional business qualifications are advantageous.
- Travel and Collaboration : Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Industrial Automation Experience : Experience in sales and technical scoping of customized industrial automation or weighing equipment, as well as servicing solutions.
