Business Development Manager - Commercial Flooring

Our client is one of Australia’s leading commercial flooring companies.  They have established a proud reputation as trusted providers of quality floor covering solutions for over 25 years. 

Our client provides expert technical advice, design, supply and installation of all types of carpet, vinyl and timber flooring that meets the rigorous demands of commercial facilities.  They provide the right flooring to suit each client’s individual requirements.

In this position the successful applicant will be involved in developing new business and nurturing existing business relationships with their clients. Most of the work will be around the Melbourne region but may also include into Sydney and Brisbane.

Responsibilities will include:

  Prospecting and taking queries from potential clients with the overall goal of generating & maturing leads to be passed off to your sales partner
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Screening and qualifying potential business through cold calling, emails & LinkedIn
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Effective use of CRM and various in-house tools to manage your leads and data
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to ‘think outside the square’ and generate your own leads
  
  

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  Previous experience as a BDM in both developing new business and retaining relationships with existing clients
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Experience in the flooring industry (preferably commercial)
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  A proven track record of going above and beyond in exceeding targets and KPI’s
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication skills
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Good computer skills, experience using CRM systems
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  A valid drivers license and not at risk of losing it
