Job Description - Business Development Manager - IT Consulting

Type : Permanent, full time
Where : North Sydney; approx 3 days per week in office, flexible hybrid WFH
Salary : $170-200K base (inc super) + uncapped commission

About the role:
DWS is growing, and we are looking to add to our existing NSW business development team.
As an expert in hunting brand new IT Consultancy / staff augmentation opportunities, you'll be a creative and forward-thinking addition to the DWS team. With a self-starter yet collaborative working style, you'll roll up your sleeves and generate leads, actively seeking and responding to tenders, and managing the end-to-end bid process.
We won't sugar coat it; this is a big role; it's demanding and challenging. However, in return for your hard work you will get the opportunity to help shape our very well-established Sydney office, and the wider Australian business.

About you:
You're a real 'go-getter' that has an impressive network of major enterprise scale customer contacts, across a mix of client industreies. Someone who isn't afraid to put themselves out there and generate the big new leads through your contact networks, LinkedIn, or picking up the phone to make a connection. You're all about being social and building long-term client relationships. Most importantly, you know your area of expertise well and have a record of success. You appreciate technology and understand the use of Cloud, Data, Business Consulting, Applications, Solutions Development, and Integration.

Your Career So Far
You'll have significant Australian, outbound, all new client sales or business development role (not account management); working with major Tier 1 ASX200 level enterprise scale customers + major government departments in one of the following areas:
  • IT / Tech Professional Services ( not SaaS / product related)
  • IT / Tech Talent or staff augmentation services

Your Skills and Experience
  • A very strong understanding of technology solutions (Cloud, Data, Software Development, Testing, Automation, Digital Transformation etc.) - able to build custom solutions from the ground up with a customer
  • Previous experience working within a similar all new business development role in a professional services / consulting organisation (not existing client account management)
  • Currently working with major Tier 1 enterprise scale and government clients
  • An established enterprise scale client network in Sydney
  • The ability to work in a consultative and collaborative way
  • Proven experience building a brand-new sales pipeline in various industry sectors
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong understanding of the sales cycle
  • The ability to apply sales methodologies to a variety of solutions and clients
