What You’ll Do:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth strategy and expanding our market presence for our market-leading Service Trailer product range. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospective clients, and closing deals to promote our range of service trailers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your sales and relationship expertise, and contribute to the success of our dynamic and innovative company.

Your day-to-day will be different, every day. You’ll be visiting our mining and civil customer base with a dedicated demo-vehicle in metro and regional areas, as well as providing and following up quotes to the customer’s specifications. In time, you’ll be providing technical expertise to customers on load configurations, technical specifications and service schedules.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Identify and prioritise target markets and industries for service trailer sales.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts across the mining, civil and rental sectors.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and other business development activities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing terms to close sales and achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product development and marketing, to optimise sales strategies and support customer requirements.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates to management on progress, challenges, and opportunities.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Marketing, or related field (preferred, not essential – we are looking primary for the right cultural fit and approach).
  • A proven track record of success in B2B sales, with experience selling industrial equipment or similar products/services.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and methodologies and previous use of a CRM will be well regarded.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to achieving targets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
