Business Development Manager - Join a Market Leader

Trident Plastics is a large plastic injection moulding company in the western suburbs looking to expand our sales team.

Trident is looking to expand its sales in collapsible crates, plastic pallets, bins  and other custom products.  

Reporting to the General Manager of Sales you will be responsible for:

• Build relationships with organisations and individuals to facilitate opportunities for sales.
• Research and prepare tenders for local councils and associated organisations
• Managing contract for successful tenders
• Manage relationships with customers
• Achieve and set national sales targets
• Research and communicate relevant market intelligence to management team
• Develop knowledge of production, warehousing and distribution process
• Progress reporting for monthly board meeting

Experience / Skills / Attributes:

• Qualifications in Sales or Business Management preferred
• Ideally a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a BDM field sales or marketing role
• Knowledge of tendering processes and contract management
• Knowledge of council tendering process advantageous
• Outstanding organisation, communication and networking skills
• Passion, drive and enthusiasm to succeed and achieve
• Ability to work autonomously
• Understanding of manufacturing processes an advantage
• Knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
