Job Description - Business Development Manager Packaging Industry

Role Overview

We are looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager who can build our customer base from the ground up. This is a high -impact, high -visibility role responsible for driving revenue, acquiring new clients, and establishing long -term partnerships.

You won’t just be selling packaging—you’ll be helping build a brand, open markets, and drive the company’s growth journey.


Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Business Growth

  • Identify, approach, and acquire new clients across e -commerce, FMCG, retail, logistics, and manufacturing sectors

  • Develop and execute aggressive business development strategies to drive rapid revenue growth

  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from prospecting to deal closure

  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Client Acquisition & Relationship Building

  • Build strong relationships with decision -makers, procurement teams, and business owners

  • Understand client requirements and propose tailored, high -value packaging solutions

  • Lead commercial discussions, pricing negotiations, and contract closures

  • Ensure excellent client onboarding and long -term account growth

Market Expansion

  • Identify new market opportunities, industries, and high -potential clients

  • Help establish the company’s presence in new regions and segments

  • Represent the company in industry events, networking forums, and client meetings

Strategic Contribution (Startup Role)

  • Contribute to sales strategy, pricing models, and go -to -market planning

  • Provide market insights to leadership to help shape product offerings

  • Work closely with operations, sourcing, and leadership teams to scale the business.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • New client acquisition

  • Monthly and quarterly revenue targets

  • Pipeline growth and conversion rate

  • Client retention and repeat business

  • Contribution to overall company growth


Requirements

Required Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in packaging, printing, logistics, or manufacturing

  • Strong track record of acquiring new clients and closing deals

  • Experience working in fast -paced or startup environments preferred

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship -building skills

  • Highly self -motivated, proactive, and results -driven

Preferred

  • Experience in corrugated, flexible, carton, or custom packaging solutions

  • Existing network in e -commerce, retail, FMCG, or manufacturing sectors

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
