Job Description - Business Development Manager - Property Maintenance

About the role

Due to an internal promotion, we’re seeking a Business Development Manager – Property Maintenance to secure profitable growth of trade paint sales in the QLD commercial property market. You will achieve this by leveraging relationships with commercial property owners, asset managers and their agents, to secure Dulux repaint specifications, managing projects to sale via the trade sales teams and painting contractors.

Reporting to the National Property Services Manager this role adds value through relationships and leads that assist Dulux painting contractors. You will be tasked with developing key account plans and preferred supplier agreements to help secure growth and a continued pipeline of business including securing new business project opportunities via industry relationships and professional networks.

As a highly relational operator you will thrive on building relationships with key industry bodies and professional networks to generate business relationships, market intelligence, specification opportunities and contractor engagement. This role offers variety and a diversity of connections and opportunities whilst working with key market segments such as strata, healthcare, education, aged care/retirement, accommodation, multi-res and industrial parks. You will be an enabler that ensures projects run smoothly as you partner with cross functional teams to bring your projects to life.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute QLD state property solutions strategy with key client targets and account plans to secure high-value project specifications
  • Create tailored paint coating and remedial specifications, which are technical, high-value and appropriate for property and client needs
  • Help facilitate specification projects through to sale of paint through trade sales team and aligned Dulux contractors via CRM system
  • Understand asset owner/manager requirements and leverage Dulux unique selling proposition to tailor value proposition for project specification opportunities
  • Add value to commercial contractors (via trade sales team) including job leads, market intelligence, introductions, networking and high-level account support to trade account managers
  • Lead and assist in developing state trade sales team’s capability in commercial repaint market including providing support, coaching, and insight sharing

Skills & Experience

  • Business related degree with previous experience in commercial construction or property management/strata/property maintenance sectors
  • Demonstrated business development and account management skills
  • Research skills including ability to understand market that will secure business opportunities
  • Good stakeholder management skills and ability to influence others
  • Commercial acumen and strong IT computer skills
