Food Equipment Group is a leading supplier of food processing & catering equipment. Our customers include; Butchers Shops, Food processors, Food Wholesale, Foodservice, Hospitality, Defence sites and other Catering Venues.

This opportunity:

We have exciting growth plans with a fantastic opportunity within our catering equipment sales business.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Manager with previous experience in Equipment Sales. This opportunity exists in Melbourne and can work from our office in Sunshine or remotely dependent on the suitable candidate. With an initial Victoria state focus the intention is to expand to a national focus, this role will report directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this role is to Plan, drive and execute activity to develop revenue and profit opportunities 

A day in your new role may include:

  • Visit Food service consultants to educate and grow business
  • Visit and grow business with equipment resellers.
  • Create and drive demand for our equipment within the foodservice industry.
  • Provide equipment demonstrations and education.
  • Drive sales and margin within market segment.
  • Execute against the National Sales Strategy.
  • Identify, qualify and sell to new business prospects.
  • Provide market intelligence to Manager.

 

About You:

You would describe yourself as being positive, outcome focused, customer centric and willing to role your sleeves up to get the job done.

You have hospitality or foodservice experience, with an understanding of the industry and experience selling into this channel.

You are an equipment sales professional, with experience selling on technical advantages and promoting the features and benefits. You are looking to grow and develop in an organisation that truly values its employees.

Other key attributes include:

  • Previous experience in Food equipment sales is essential.
  • Any experience with food service consultant and/ or architects would be an advantage.
  • Any experience with HVAC or exhaust systems would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
  • Excellent level of integrity.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
