Job Description - Business Development & Sales Associate

We are an independent advisory and investment firm providing specialist restructuring, cybersecurity, forensic, financial crime, performance improvement and real estate services. Objectives and scope of the position

  • You will be responsible for writing and developing sales and business development collateral, with a focus on our rapidly evolving sector capabilities.
  • You will work on key proposals for the firm
  • You will support the wider team with the execution of select strategic projects and events.

Duties and responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for writing and developing sales and business development collateral, with a focus on our rapidly evolving sector capabilities. You will also work on key proposals for the firm and support the wider team with the execution of select strategic digital projects.
  • You will work closely with Senior Leaders and experts across KordaMentha’s offices throughout Asia Pacific. The role may be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
  • Develop and execute sales collateral and business development projects for services lines and capabilities, aligned with the firm's strategic objectives, growth plans and market opportunities.
  • Understand our market (proactively undertake research and analysis) and tailor and elevate the way we engage with prospects, clients and the broader market.
  • Work with teams to understand critical business opportunities, consult, write and produce proposals that help us win in market.
  • Capture and share knowledge specific to key clients, project experience, resources and methodologies, and help implement sales activity across the sales lifecycle (utilising the firm’s CRM).
  • Develop and implement a sales and proposal management plan; champion and support teams, bringing them on the journey to upskill and embed sales skills across the firm.
  • Write and develop client testimonials for use in future opportunities
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with Partners, Service Line Leaders, subject matter experts and the Marketing & Brand team.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the firm's brand, reputation, and thought leadership in the industry.
  • Maintain sales content (CVs, project information, testimonials) on KordaMentha’s intranet

Qualifications and experience/skills required

  • Demonstrated capability and experience in the development and delivery of sales collateral, capability statements/business development tools and proposals.
  • Commercially focused with strong analytical, planning and project management skills.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years working within a similar role, ideally within professional services.
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline.
  • Right of employment within Australia (no sponsorships).
  • Ability to take complex problems, simplify them and think creatively to solve and articulate them.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience of collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver on requirements.
  • Experience in using, updating and creating insights from online CRM platforms (Dynamic365 preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and motivation for learning/self-development.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and flexible in responding to changing work priorities, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, resilience, problem solving and outcomes attitude.
