Our client is one of the biggest metal companies in the world, with operations in more than 50 countries. The company is active in the railway systems, steel, automotive, and tool steel industries.



The Role

They are looking for a Business Development Specialist, which would involve reporting to the Sales Manager.



Your key responsibilities would include:

• Product expertise and knowledge sharing: Act as a reliable source of information for clients, enabling them to make informed decisions when selecting product solutions for their projects
• Sales negotiations and promotions, consultations and services to customers
• Follow-up quotes as requested by your Manager
• Represent the company in selling and marketing all product lines
• Accept orders for all products within the product range of the company
• Collaborative sales effort: Work closely with internal staff and external clients to ensure a seamless sales process, and work in tandem with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies, maximizing the effectiveness of the sales effort
• Observe safe work practices and adhere to the Company's OHS Management System. which includes ensuring your health and safety and that of others in the workplace

What you will need to succeed:

• Ideally, 1 - 2 years of experience in sales in a similar industry. We are also open to candidates with sales experience in other fields wanting to develop their expertise
• Good time management skills, able to work autonomously and be focused on business outcomes that will assist with the growth of the QLD operation
• Competent with sales CRMs, ideally have had experience with Salesforce
• You are a relationship builder
• You are a naturally good communicator, both verbal and written
• You are a proactive and enthusiastic person
• Driver's license
• Flexibility around travelling - regionally
• You must be eligible to work full-time in Australia
