To support our growth and development within Australia, an exceptional position has become available for a Sales & BDM in the rapidly expanding Industrial and Commercial Infrastructure market channel. Through strong partnerships with customers, the successful candidate will identify and service a range of equipment with specific technical solutions in coating applications and surface preparations. This will be across the following markets - mining, marine, industrial and agricultural equipment, road marking, automotive, airports, shopping centres, grain silos, furniture coating and diverse surface applications for numerous commercial and industrial requirements.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the position will be responsible for the following:
- Strategic planning and implementation of immediate and future supply of Spray & Abrasive Blasting equipment into the industrial/commercial/ infrastructure markets.
- Achievement of Sales and Profitability budgets in the Commercial, Industrial, Infrastructure channel.
- The development of key relationships with existing & new customers.
- The management of pricing, supply, stock availability, service levels and after sales or product information with the support of the Customer Service department.
- Preparation of quotations within established guidelines and policies.
- Positioning the Murphy’s Spray & Blast brand and managing the important relationships with associates, suppliers & end users.
- In conjunction with the sales force, manage key relationships, presentations, service calls and new business proposals.
- Market Analysis/ Competitive Intelligence/ Business Strategy.
This specialist position will ideally suit a person able to work as part of a small team whilst leveraging a larger team and be able to demonstrate the following:
- Ability to navigate a fragmented market and pursue opportunities by allocating resource to achieve sustained growth.
- Technical product aptitude.
- A knowledge of abrasive blasting and coatings applications in industrial and commercial markets.
- Ability to relate and engage at all levels.
- Exceptional presentation, communication and analytical skills.
- Strategic and business planning.
- Highly organised, able to focus and prioritise business planning.
- Thorough understanding of the protective coatings industry, applications and product life cycle.
- A strong sense of accountability and a desire to accept responsibility for business outcomes.
- The ability to work successfully with internal colleagues, in particular marketing, finance and operations.
- IT proficiency including PowerPoint and spread sheeting competence.
- An aptitude for understanding and presenting technology based equipment.
- Key Account Management skills.
