We are excited to be recruiting for a Business Enablement Team Lead for our SAS Laboratory, that forms part of our Customer & Innovation group.

The Customer and Innovation group leads and champions the way Urban Utilities connects with its customers. Our approach is focused on remaining contemporary, by understanding the current and future needs of our customers and appropriately shaping our services.

The Business Enablement Team Lead role leads and manages a multidisciplinary team of officers across information technology, logistics, contracts, procurement, and customer service to enable a positive experience for internal and external customers, and ensures the laboratory maintains a high level of quality and throughput.

You will provide oversight to a team for preparation of contracts, budgets, sample receipting and reporting, accounts payable and high-quality customer interactions, and quality compliance. Essentially, being the face of sample receipt right through to report generation and customer interface.

Some of your accountabilities will include:

• Lead a team of six by gaining the confidence and trust of team members through honesty, integrity, and authenticity. You will set clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and maintain accountability for compliance and quality standards.

• Act as a trusted business partner to key internal stakeholders, fostering strong and collaborative relationships by understanding understand internal customer needs and align solutions to support organizational priorities and operational goals.

• Manage and nurture relationships with key clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement and oversee relationship management for a portfolio of transactional clients, maintaining service quality and responsiveness.

• Manage a portfolio of contracts and negotiate service level agreements. Will also plan, coordinate, and supervise activities relating to major contracts.

About You:

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experiences: 

• You have a commercial understanding of how a Laboratory operates, ideally in a NATA accredited laboratories within the water and wastewater industry. However, experience gained from Pharmaceutical and FMCG will also be highly regarded.

• You have led small-medium sized terms and do so by fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture to safely deliver exceptional results.

• You have a customer focussed mindset and naturally build meaningful customer relationships with both internal and external groups. You excel at collaboration, aligning objectives, and achieving desired outcomes.

• Performance of ‘on call’ duties are an inherent requirement of this role. More information on this will be provided throughout the recruitment process.

• This role is based at our Laboratory in Darra, and you are expected to work their full time. There is free staff parking or street parking available.
