Job Description - Business Manager - Hardgoods

We are hiring a hardworking Business Manager - Hardgoods to join our energetic team at MACVAD in North Ryde, Sydney NSW.

About the role:

Reporting to our highly respected and talented Divisional Manager, the role involves:

  • Leading a small team of sales and production staff in the supply of hardgoods to retail customers
  • Developing and implementing strategies to generate sustainable and profitable business
  • Key account management to maintain strong relationships and ongoing business
  • Business development and securing new customers
  • Working with the sourcing team to ensure customer satisfaction with order fulfilment

You will need:

  • At least 5 years of senior account management in the retail industry
  • The ability to lead teams to success in sales
  • A natural ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Good energy levels and flexibility – someone who thrives in a dynamic environment
  • Expert knowledge of hardgoods – experience with stationery and gardening would be an advantage
  • Strong presenting, planning and prioritising capability with a high level of attention to detail
  • To be able to travel several times a year (to China and Europe)
