Business Services Accountant

An opportunity to join a successful modern and well established boutique practice,  located in the Sydney CBD, that has a great team culture, delivering excellent services to high net worth individuals, professionals and SME's.  The firm is currently seeking an experienced Accountant for its Business Services Division in Sydney. By joining the team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced people and develop a unique blend of taxation, management accounting and professional services skills.

Main Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for various SME's, high net-worth individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts and superannuation funds, together with BAS's and FBT returns
• Attending to tax planning and compliance
• Managing you workflow and tax lodgement program
• Utilisation of a range of accounting software including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and Class Super
• Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies in relation to clients' tax matters

Qualifications:

• 2 - 4 years’ experience within Business Services
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Completed or near completion of CA/CPA qualifications
• A solid understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Expertise using accounting software including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and Class Super
• Have work rights, Australian Citizenship or hold Permanent Residency status in Australia
