A leading Top 100 Accounting Firm in Brisbane CBD is seeking an experienced Business Services Manager / Tax Manager to join their growing Business Advisory & Tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant or Manager from public practice who wants to step into a leadership role managing staff, reviewing work, and advising high-quality SME clients.

The firm has an excellent reputation in the Brisbane accounting market, strong systems, and a clear pathway to Senior Manager and Partnership.

The Role - Business Services Manager

As a Business Services Manager, you will manage a portfolio of clients while overseeing workflow and mentoring a team of accountants.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME and private business clients
• Review financial statements, tax returns, and BAS
• Deliver business advisory and tax planning services
• Manage workflow within the Business Services team
• Review work completed by Intermediate and Senior Accountants
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and staff development
• Build strong long-term client relationships
• Work closely with the Partners on complex advisory matters

Skills & Experience

• To be considered for this Business Services Manager / Tax Manager role you will have:
• CA or CPA qualified
• 6+ years' experience in public practice accounting
• Strong experience in Business Services and Tax
• Previous experience reviewing work and supervising staff
• Strong communication and client advisory skills
• Experience working with SME clients
