Due to strong growth in our business and we are currently recruiting for multiple roles in our Buys and Loans and Retail department. 

What is the role?

This role is a customer facing role working across both the Pawnbroking and Retail sides of the business, negotiating with our customers on second hand goods, pawnbroking loans and retail sales to deliver required outcomes for both our customer and our business.

What are the key responsibilities of the role?

• Being a champion of customer service at all times (in store and online)
• Assessing value of second hand goods and negotiating purchase price
• Negotiating on loans against goods (Pawnbroking) with customers to achieve win-win outcomes
• Using your customer engagement and selling skills to achieve retail sales targets
• Cleaning, tagging, pricing and warehousing of stock
• Working as a team to achieve required goals on each day/shift
• Have fast and accurate data entry ability with a high attention to detail
• Strict adherence to regulatory and compliance policies

Our ideal candidate will have the following Skills and Experience:

• A solid background in customer service
• Proven negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes
• An energetic and self-motivated approach
• Proven ability to think on your feet and adapt to/be resilient to different scenarios
• A strong knowledge of electronics, phones, laptops, gaming consoles, stereos or jewellery would be advantageous
• Previous experience as a second hand buyer/pawnbroker or Retail Sales is not a pre-requisite and we welcome all candidates with experience in customer facing/dynamic roles.
