Café & Bistro Operator Cleveland Bowls Club Cleveland, QLD - Rapid Progression

The Cleveland Bowls Club has been a successful club in the Redlands for more than 80 years meeting the needs of our 300 bowls members and over 2,100 social members of our community club, The Cleveland Bayside Club.   

The meals and service provided by our Café & Bistro have been an important ingredient in our success. Currently trading from Wednesday to Sunday, there is also a strong demand for catering of private functions and events.

We have an opportunity for an experienced hospitality operator who will make this business their own, offering a new dining experience and providing our members and guests with outstanding meals and service. With the support of the board and management team, you will operate as an external contractor to the Club and be responsible for the menu available, ordering, as well as hiring and rostering of your front of house and staff. 

What are we offering?

• A ready to operate kitchen, a bistro/restaurant area seating 100 people, with additional space available for busier service times.
• A busy club offering bowls and community events, including Trivia on Wednesday night, currently supported by around 100 guests, as well live entertainment and functions which have been supported by up to 160 people.

We are looking for an innovative and qualified Caterer who will 

• Continue to raise the level of the food and service offered at the Club.
• Offer theme nights, specials nights/menu items, and generally provide quality casual dining and family-friendly options.
• Provide food options from Pub/Club food and snacks to Modern Australian and Non-Australian options, e.g. stir fry meals, Seafood, Vegan, Vegetarian, and GF options, and will suggest other menu options.
• Look after their team members as an important part of their success.
• Believes in excellence in customer service, consistency, and satisfaction.
• Have all required certificates, insurances, and other business requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the Club's Board and Management team.
• Be a partner focused on the future mutual success of their business and the Club.

• FREE RENT: We're excited to offer FREE RENT for 12 months.
• MENU FLEXIBILITY: We are open to suggestions on the culinary experiences you'd like to offer. 
• FLEXIBLE CONTRACT: Including no rent, the Club will also pay for maintenance on the equipment we provide in the kitchen and dining areas. The operator will pay for gas, waste removal, electricity, grease trap and cleaning. 
• SERVICE FLEXIBILITY: You can choose buzzer/pick-up or serve to table - it is up to you. 
• MARKETING HELP: The Club will assist with marketing in local and on social media.

Start Date: The ideal caterer will commence by 1st July, 2024.
